Looking for fresh ItemsName.txt

Post by Jemrada »

I am in the process of working up a new economy for Sabrada.

I don't plan on taking back over Sabrada before I get a building.dat setup and some models. So I am in need of a ItemsName.txt to start this process.

Can anybody give me one here that has not been edited?

Feel free to email it if you like.

So does anybody have a list I can use or do I need to setup a world first in order to get a fresh copy?

if you just want a list of items: http://www.tuwr.net/tuwr/pmwiki.php?n=Lists.Items

the itemnames file isn't used anymore, so don't know if it would be created by the world by default or not.

Ok,

So it all stored in the system?

Then I just rename them using the NamesFile.txt

Very interesting, so much has changed. Hopefully I will get something going here.

pst...after changing the name you can update the items in the buildings editor to show the new names. Tools menu -> Import NamesFile.txt. it will load the namesfile thats in the same folder that the buildings.dat was loaded from. iuf its a new one, just save it then open it. it will automatically load a namesfile if theres one in the same folder when you open a bdat.

How do you manually edit the ItemNames.txt?

I currently don't have a world to access and I am not sure how it looks when they are edited.

just has lists of stuff in the format of
ITEMNAME,##=newname

ITEMNAME,1=gas
would change item #1 (fuel by default), to be called gas.

can edit it in any text editor. like notepad. open it up, type whatever, save it, reload it on the buildings editor.

Thanks Zar,

Why do the food items have a negative sign by them? Do they take some away even though they help you?

no clue :P

its how it appears in the *itemproperties info.

negative sign...where? under the health category? its probably for the nutrition stuff that has yet to be put in the game. mit had mentioned it long ago. foods/drinks would have varying health effects based on how good they were for you. basically you'd need a balanced diet.

from what i have seen, none of the health effects actually work yet. people can live solely off tea and steaks. of course, it could also just mean the even the simplest of hunger/thirst setups have the normal health gain more then the health loss from the food/drinks

Ok, I got yeah.

If you look at item number 3, it is Bread and it has -100 and -500 with a positive 2500.

I was just curious.
