Mining/fighting team night details

It sure has lol and ill try to bring as many ppl as possible, oh and i CAN do it this sunday and also monday but from there onli fridays and saturdays (MAYBE sunday morning)coolbiker wrote:hmmmm ...... me thinks u winning cargo in the last fight night has given u the bug treacle !!

This event will take place on saturday 24th February at megacityone again.
The time will be 8pm gmt my apologies if this rules you out, but ive gone with the majority.
No one has posted a team so they will have to be decided on the night. If only a few people turn up it will be done as individuals not teams.
teams will have 1 and a half hours from the start to mine as much ore as they can. Uridium doesnt count.
You will have 5 minutes from teams being sorted to the start, so use this time to organise yourselves with pm channels tactics etc.
Fighting is allowed from the start, and any ore u take from another team will count towards your booty.
This has been tested and is very tactical, so you may want to go there before and practise to find the best mining areas/tactics. Rocks are quite hard to find down there, so it wil pay you to practise finding them.
Teams will be organised so there is a fair distribution of each type of ship i.e. all teams should be equal in strength.
Hope to see lots of you there, please tell others in game as you play because it is open to all.

We may be able to loan you a mining kit for the night, i will check this and and let you know
P.S. No shooting when u first arrive, this was a problem with the last event, save it for when the game starts..

I can see I will get my $5 worth out of this

not much point in blasting away right from the start when no one has anything to steal !

Mining/fight night saturday24th feb update
Megacityone sys is currently a "completely "safe" sys - no weapons allowed, so feel free to go down there to practise your mining for the event.
On the night u will have no weapons there until i assign you to a team, so dont panic when you cant shoot
Shields may be on or off at anytime during the event, so check frequently!
If you log off for any reason during the event you will get your shields back by default until i remove them again, but be warned, there is a sting in the tail if you do this. The idea is to stay until the game ends, so no logging.
The bounties will be disabled for the whole event, so dont worry about losing yours.
You can still post any last minute questions here or speak to me in game.

I dont think I need too much practice mining , I got stuck without fuel and a cargo bay full of narcotics , on the outer rim of the universe it took me 8 hours of mining on 4 diferent systems to get enough fuel to escape ! that was tuff .
had the pirates found me I would have been mince meat .
still I had MARVIN for company ( not the He smiles much ) lol
