Mining/fighting team night details

Ok people are asking me when the next fight night is so im going to start it.

We have done a test run on a new game which is quite different from the last one, and should remove a few of the problems we had.

The general idea will be equal teams all mining the asteroids or fighting opposing teams for a set period of time. How your team does this is up to you. The team with the most cargo at the end of it wins. Dont know if there will be any prizes up for grabs yet, depends how charitable people are feeling

If you are interested in taking part, either as an individual or as part of your own team please post here with your details/team etc and times you can be here.

We need quite a few people for this one, we were thinking of 5 to a team and at least 4 teams. All this is subject to change depending on the number of people interested.

The last one was good, lets make this one better.

If you cant post, then ask another player if they can on your behalf.

not sure how your going to do "team mining" ? I think it would be better as an individual event then it would not matter how many turned up or if an an odd number of turned up ?

any how I`m "GAME FOR LAUGH" so what ever you come up with I will be there

Team Mining with an odd number could be easy.

The odd man out is able to be picked to replace one catagory, to try and give one team then the other an advantage. Lemme explain from the start.

Gold Team - Vinn, Biker, Shorty.
Diamond Team - Myrth, MIT, Gk8000
Odd Man Out - KB32a

Challenge one - Who has the most Minerals:
Gold - 1t, 2t, 0t
Diamond - 1t, 1t, 1t

Gold knows Shorty has none, so they opt to replace Shorty's tonnage with KB's. KB has 1t. The amounts are totaled, and shows that Gold Team wins that round.

Round Two - Who harvested the most water:
Gold - 6t, 6t, 3t
Diamond - 3t, 8t, 6t

Gold can't replace their low man, they've used up their lifeline. Diamond however feels that their low man could hurt them, so they opt out and replace Myrth's with KB. However, KB harvested ot water, so unintentionally, they lower their score. But they made the choice, so they had to be stuck with it. This places Gold team at 15, and Diamind at only 14t. Gold wins.

Third Challenge - The Tiebreaker, if needed.

As seen above, Gold clearly wins. Two out of Three.


Now, each team mate is allowed to fly around and find an asteroid. You have 1 hour to find one. Once you find one, let the Judge know, and when everyone gets to one, or failed within the hour, harvesting begins.

During the 1 hour harvesting time, minigames of Trivia can be played. "What planet is water sold the cheapest in, in Tau Ceti?" "How many star systems have a jumpgate?" And other such questions...stuff game related.

If the winner has no paypal account then I will pay his REGISTRATION FEE instead and he or she will be able to join the FEDERATION OF REGISTERED TRADERS ( if He or She wishes ) this is an elite group of players with only 5 members at the last count and entitels the member to free trade reports and 25% dicount on uridium on joining .

So even if you aint got a paypal account you can still be a winner with real benifits and of course you get the BRAGGING RIGHTS that go along with winning

So let me get this right.
You will have 1 tick to find a asteroid an mine.

This not a bad idea, infact it could be a good one. It may help to find out who has been doing some system jumps.
