We (the world owners) ARE active... with our own worlds. I'm fairly certain you can fend for yourself, we do have a knowledgebase after all, and if that doesn't work... I'm sure that someone will help you with some of your problems, we just lack the time to put our full attention into someone elses world.

Well... that's not really the right spirit is it :) But It's true enough - anyone interested in running a world is probably already too busy doing just that. However... you might get a better response if you outline what you have in mind.

Maybe you're struggling with the settings and so on (there are new docs on the way, honest :) but that's not the only thing that's tricky in setting up a good world... there's the general theme, gameplay ideas, 2d and 3d art, sound... it all needs careful planning and someone actually has to organise all this stuff, as well as actually doing it. Perhaps by coming up with an outline of a world you'd want to produce you might get a helper or two. Especially if you want to do something relatively easy to make, and different to other stuff already out there...

Another idea... if there's a world you like the basic premise of, perhaps by asking nicely you might get some pointers or settings files from that world owner. There's a sample bdat and weapons script (admittedly very old) the world owners pages ( http://theuniversal.net/worldresources.php) too.

When i read your posts this is basically what i get out of it "I want someone to do all the hard work and build a successful world then let me run it"

I think the regulars should stop being so tetchy - if more people got involved making worlds together, there'd probably be more good worlds for people to get involved in - it's kinda the whole point of the game :) I include the staff in this too - we're way behind on a couple of world ideas. But in theory we're working together to make 'em happen...

anyway: for my part I can offer limited modelling ability drama... if you need something specific making, just ask. However (and it's a big however) - I've already got a list of about 50 things to do first. No harm asking though (and maybe someone else can help out anyway)

Working together on a world will make the world better if they work together and make a good friendship. And Team work should NEVER be criticized. Teamwork is what has kept this game going.

Well hurray for teamwork. Although, to be honest, it's mostly whiskey, the occasional donation and you lot that's kept the game going :)

keep in mind teamwork could also be worse. as the co-owner wants to co-own and if the 2 people have conflicting ideas. the statement "no i just need someone to help. once they get me used to the settings etc. then i can get on with it. if they still wanna help then so be it" kinda shows this. if they still want to 'help'. if thier a co-owner, then they might look at it as 'i own half the world, so i can do what i want since its half mine' even if you don't like what thier doing. you can't really stop them or tell them no after saying thier a co-owner and having them setup the world for you. thats kinda cheap.

its like when malk started hosting for....i think it was GK when he first got his. since malk was hosting, he gave himself owner powers and changed the world claiming that if he hosted it, he should co-own it. gk diden't like it since he put time into making the world as he wanted.

thus is why i say 'it wont truely be yours'
having somebody else do work on it means it wont be purly made by you and people wont compliment soley you on your hard work. like if a new person says i made the current zoric nicely and that i did a good job on it. i can't take pleasure in a comment like that for current zoric, as i diden't make it. jemrada did.
