Description:
any planet if tried to land to make my world accessable it sais 'you cannot land on uninhabited planets'... kicks me back out
________________________________________________________________________
Steps to Replicate:
1.fly to unknown
2.attempt to land/claim
3. curse profusely at failed attempt
cannot land to 'claim' unknown
did you try, try, try again? It should advently accept you server -- If you have the server running at that time -- Or you could just download 49.2 or 49.4, which ever is in the download secetion http://theuniversal.net/playfree.php, and then try to land and claim that planet!
BUT YOU MUST BE RUNNING YOUR SERVER! Not running your server wouldn't do you any good! Because your world server is what realy claims a planet.

yea.. i was in a rush this morning so all i could do is post a quic kreport and go to work... i got home, and tried with my 2ndary 'WIP' server (usually my 'failsafe' for testing world connx problems,... thats using .2... i claimed successfully and then changed over to .6 and fipro and Inf are working... so.. its a .6 thing... maybe a .5 thing as well.
ive now taken home in system 420.... alone.

ahh strange.. i'd figured it was a gal server problem.
morby, could u please confirm which versions of the client & server you had to use to get it to work. Does a 49.6beta client and a 49.2 server let you do it? Or a 49.2 client and a 49.6 server?
The reply text - "You cannot currently land on uninhabited worlds" - means that the client hasnt detected that the local server is running (and therefore doesnt even bother trying to tell the gal server about it). This process works ok for me on the current server client combo, as long as the world is an unregistered one. I presume thats still the case with you? You don't have the 49.6 client running from a different directory or anything weird like that have you?

uno what.. didnt even dawn on me before but i know what the prob is now that u mention it mit... i was using the client with the morbydvisns login , since my origional one with bongzillah login doesnt work w/chat server anymore (created a gal. multi for use on my planet and keep forgetting about that).
the server running was in the origional installation directory using bongzillah and my client was the new copy in another partition using morby login.... and when i loaded up the server installed in the same folder as the client i was using, it worked properly.
