Whipped up a quick flamingo for you. You'll probably need to remap the uvs when you add it to your scene so I didn't spend too much time on mapping or painting much detail onto the texture. http://www.lowpolycommunity.com/site/e107_files/public/1275126844_5_FT0_flamingo.png Let me know what formats ...

Silo does not have animation. I figured I would use 3dsmax. I understand the concepts behind animating the model; I just haven't tried yet. (build and adjust bones, apply and adjust skin modifier, animate by keyframes.) I've been visiting Ben Mathis' site regularly site you first ushered me there in...

Here's something I was working on today. I'm getting ready to UVmap it now. http://www.lowpolycommunity.com/site/e107_files/public/1274934094_5_FT0_midigeet.png 802 quad faces and 6 tri faces. (I didn't notice the tris until just a bit ago. There 3 on the underside of each heel, an easy fix. Damn yo...

Jayecifer's Workbench
Sometimes I get the urge to share what I'm working on, and as opposed to spamming up the boards with numerous threads, I think I'll just designate a thread to contain such things. Feel free to drop me feedback or request things. I'm always up for working on things. http://mission-failed.com/jayecife...

Regarding models on TUWR.net. Zaroba get in here.
I was looking through the models on TUWR and noticed fhko's Lumbermill. I made both of the textures and was curious if I could be credited for the textures on the site. I have the original .psd of the textures and most of the original source images used if I need to prove that I made the textures. (...

I'll have a go at cleaning these up and uving a few. The model's positions are like crazy off center and I think they could use a little optimization/tweaking as far as triangles are concerned. (For example I think I could remove maybe four or five faces from the first model and still have it look e...

HOT FORUM ACTION!
I have a few questions regarding Universal specific modeling techniques. The answers here could probably all be found elsewhere on these forums/website, but I figure you guys wouldn't mind me stirring up some 'hot forum action'. How to you make transparent glass? I had to look up the transparent col...

I grabbed a copy of 3dsMAXstudio2010( I already hate everything about the program as I have been spoiled by zbrush and silo...), imported then exported my Silo models without even changing the file format and the textures work now. I suppose that I should warn you that I will be contributing soon. A...

I tried the texture map in every orientation. Flipping the UVcoords would only make it so that I wouldn't have to flip the texture horizontally. It's scrambling the UVs not altering the orientation of the map. I'm not so concerned about the flipped faces as the model is poorly done and these are pro...

I'm having problems with the model converter.
It's seems to be scrambling my UV maps on .3ds formatted objects. When I import the same object into other modeling programs and apply my texture it works out just fine, but in the model converter it seem to not care in the slightest about my UV maps. (No matter how I orient them, believer me I've t...

No sir, he doesn't move. He's just a sculpt I did in zbrush. I'll need to become handier with the more tride and true arts of 3d modeling before I end up with properly segmented and rigged models. I had neat scorpion-spider thing to show you but somewhere along the line I twisted up a set of his leg...
