Just a wee world idea i've been toying around with. Not particularly original :]. Its a multiplayer world, but doesn't rely much on there being many ppl around.. I figure it might be kinda fun and would welcome any feedback, suggestions etc.
The aim of the game is to destroy other people's buildings. (And as a secondary goal, also to keep your own buildings from being destroyed).
When you first start on the world you must select your weapon of choice. (Initially one of 'Tripod', 'Tank', 'Catapult' and maybe 'Wrecking ball'). Your selection equates to a vehicle, each of which has a different weapon and you keep that vehicle throughout.
Building construction is a simple enough process - gather a few bits of wood, stone n whatever you can find then use the item to construct - but you're limited to only being able to construct 5-10 building every 4 hours or so, with a cap on the total number of buildings you can own. (Numbers to be tweaked).
If you find another player's buildings on the map, use your weapons to blow 'em up and earn Kudos points.
If you find another player, you can blow them up too if you want (or cooperate by building and destroying each other's stuff for Kudos points). Killed players respawn back in the spawntown.
If any of your buildings manage to stay undestroyed for 24 hours, you get more Kudos points.
Later extensions will make different buildings invulnerable to different vehicles (e.g. a concrete bunker that can only be destroyed by a tripod or tank), and provide options to trade in a vehicle for another.
There will be lots of explosions.
