Hello world...

Post by themongoose »

Hey guys, it seems I last logged in to the forums "on Sat Mar 18, 2006 8:42 pm" - since it's been 7 years, I thought I would pop my head in and see how things are going and who is still about? I won't be offended if you don't remember me, my game name was coolhandluke and later CHL I think. Apologies if you do remember me from the a-tractor/the galaxy(?) days, I was about 15 at the time and probably a dick ;)

Welcome back Luke!

How's life been treating you?
The game has changed drastically since the last time you played.
Mit's redoing and modernizing a lot of the code and decided to make the game recreate the history of mankind.

No player owned worlds yet, so you can't recreate your Lonely Island world.
But if you become a member (for as little as $2 a month) you can create a world and give/revoke access to it for up to 4 other members at a time.

Hey Zaroba! Not bad. Currently very unemployed - that must be why I'm here right now. Got any jobs? :D

I'm back for 5 minutes and you're already giving me the hard sell! Not sure if I'll get back in to the game just yet, that might lead to many, many hours of procrastinating.

The history of mankind... Mit is as ambitious as ever then!? How many players are around these days, it seemed like it used to go up and down quite a lot with all the different versions coming out.

God knows how you remembered the Lonely Island, I couldn't remember the name earlier. I remember making a pretty sweet boat race around the island though. Is there any pics or anything somewhere from around that time? I do remember Tunbridge, and Zoric was yours right?

Hope you're all good

A job? Hmm, you could try Amazon.com. That's where I'm working now.

There are a few warehouses in England: Marston Gate, Rugely, Peterborough, Doncaster, and Hemel Hempstead. No clue how close of of them are to you though.

Yep, zoric is mine. It will be back (eventually) and be better then ever (hopefully).
To be honest, I had to look up your worlds name on one of the old pages on tuwr.net

What type of work do you do? Hemel Hempstead is quite close to me actually. But I'm looking for something on the south coast, if I was looking in London I'm sure I would have got a job ages ago, unfortunately there just isn't the same amount of jobs going where I want to be :(

So the game is split in to "chapters" now... are they just like different rounds, and everyones stuff gets reset with each new one?
