Hi,
New farm script is now in place. Be aware that the farm times have reduced a lot so if you've got a farm active you might want to get to it soonish and check its stage. Apologies if anyone loses a crop.

Heres the updated method..

Wheat takes about 10 realtime hours to grow from planting (a little less than one game year). You can harvest the wheat up to 24 realtime hours after planting. Standard yields have been reduced in line with the shorter production time.

You can now invest Gold in Farms, which is used to pay for a worker with the 'Farming' skill. Having a worker on your farm increases the yield significantly (3x or more).
Workers can do the manual labour of digging, planting and harvesting crops, though only the owner can take the crops away and clear the field for another year.

To get a worker, you must first invest enough Gold to cover 3 harvests. If the farm runs out of investment and can't pay for next year's wage, the worker is automatically fired.
Note that you can't remove gold once invested in a farm.

The Farming skill is available in the Academy.

Any chance on making the gold removable?

Any thoughts on making the Mill and Bakery run the same way the Forge does? It would be nice to be able to stock the wheat or flour in the buildings and run off instead of having to wait around tasking each item.
