I know it sounds daft... but....
Can we make our own items?
E.g. is there a edditor to change what skills are avalable, and what items you can buy/sell.
For example I have a company that needs lets say a Programmer and sells Computer software, Computer games, and Computer O/S's.
Is there a way to add these to the system? or are all the skills/items defalt?

skills are hard coded into the game. so the short answer to that one is that they hve o remain the same
items are a bit different you can change the name of an item but you cannot change its underlying use. i.e food items will always have the effect of food, buidling as buidling etc...
if you want ot change you item names its only a matter of editing the items.txt file in the server root.

As magic said, yeh, items can be changed within limits.
We've debated the possibility of making skills renamable in a similar way in the past, but at the time it was decided that for the sake of retaining at least some continuity between worlds theyd be kept the same. Given the current structure of the game i dont think the arguments for keeping them consistent are as applicable any more, so i will look into doing this in a forthcoming version.
