Still a problem in 0.63.2
I've run into a similar issue but it is causing me way more trouble than it probably did for you.
I built close to one of my other buildings. (I was building a second Hut)
When I clicked the Hut icon to build it, one Stone brick was removed from my inventory and no construction site was visible.
Though when I try to build something else now it will claim I've still got a construction project running.
