answers anyone?

so i got the update the other day and i was only able to get on once since i got it. and now every time i try to open the game it loads and its all black and the only thing i can see is the chat box with the welcoming thing. and the amount of players on. Does anyone know whats going on?

You mean version 0.52.0 of the universal? It has a new open screen, weird that it doesn't work for you... Anyway, if you're sure you've installed it correctly (all files over the current installation, I guess you did that manually?), try pressing end in the start screen to go to your last position in space, or the last planet you were...

xy it happened to me, i reinstalled that seemed to fix it , i deleted all the files then downloaded the new client (its now gone public) and alas it works again XD
