Or maybe it's just me, on behalf of me and mit and magic, saying have a good one ;)
Anyway: it's the time of year when I must travel to visit aliens - er, no, relatives - and as such will not be here to keep an eye on the galaxy server all of the time.
Traditionally, what happens is that before I go, I clean out the server, make sure it's dust-free, patched to the hilt, and running nice and quiet and cool. I then tiptoe out of the house, closing the door behind me quietly, push-start the car so as not to create bad vibrations that might disturb the peaceful operation of the galaxy, and creep away into the crisp, snowy night.
Five minutes later the galaxy crashes. Every time.
This year I'm taking a different approach. I shall hit the server with a hammer, set it on fire and leave it in an airtight box. That oughta work.
All of which is to say, if the galaxy should fall over in the next few days, by all means post in the relevant thread on these boards, but it'll be a little while before I'm back to sort it out. Fingers crossed we have a crash-free Christmas this time.
Ohhhhhhhh...
