galaxy down?

i just downloaded the galaxy client, but it says i cant connect to it. Normally id assume it was something wrong with my internet because i have a very bad connection. but since this is only the first beta, im wondering if it might actually be down... anyone else have this problem?

i got this problem and when list to pick a galaxy comes up it says andromeda is (not responding) so i am using 1.23 atm

did everything reset? I lost my drive, the 5 gal credits I got for playing on RB and i was reset to the starting world

edit: I also get "World is not connected to galaxy" when I tried to start over and get my 7 creds on biplaneworld

Galaxy is up and running, except when it crashes - bear with us as it's now on a new machine, so there are prolly a few lil teething troubles with the galaxy server. Like the fact it's runnin on Windows ;p

Yup, it's fecked for some reason I'm not quite able to fathom... I'll try yet another reboot and see if that helps.

It's back up, but I still don't have my stuff... Did anyone else get reset?

I was using the newest beta and can't get in. However Andromedra appears to be online. Since I've played before its not a graphical problem. Any idea whether its down or its just me?

If you've used versions of the galaxy prior to 0.1.27, you might find deleting Data\Gateways.lst will help (The galaxy has moved address.. 0.1.27 includes the new address by default).

The galaxy server does seem to be crashing quite a bit atm.. might have missed some files in the transfer to the new host. Will be a few days before i can set up a debugger on it to find out why. Hopefully it will be stable by the end of the week.

Fr00g, if you did your exchanges sometime in the past week, its possible the backup we used when the galaxy was transferred didnt include your recent transactions (per the note i put on the announcement last week.) I'll check the latest records at the old server when i get chance (sometime this week) and do ya a grant for anythin lost.

Thanks, I just got the client 2 or 3 days ago so that's probably what happened
