The point drive doesn't exist.

I don't think Point Drives are for sale anymore.
A long time ago, you could buy them, and use them by choosing a planet on the system map, then clicking Point Drive. It would then warp you to that planet.

oh so the point drive is useless now! Because the imflimp drive took its place or something like that!

Actually, the infimp was there back then, too.
The infimp was just very expensive while the point drive was cheap (there was no space trading back then...you received credits the way you receive prestige now).

now its a pAint drive -))

by the way... i don't like InfImp idee... its a more fantastic, than whole game world... and idea is contrary to any adequate scenario (i.e. why only planet names??!)...

when space will awarded us more trade items for selling at home systems, its will be better and more plausible... and then we don't needed any InfDrive, which also kill optimal balance between pirate empty ship and trader full cargo... as i think
