I play on zoric so this suggestion is pretty much just for zoric and sab.
It seems that there are always those same players who excel and end up monopolizing industries and owning almost unlimited sums of cash. Once they get there though there is nothing to look forward to except a big house and numerous vehicles. what i propose is that maybe there could be elected positions in the games giving players who have great influence a chance to have a real impact on the rest of the world. so like a map could be split into regions and every so often a "govenor" is elected or something of that sort. once there the gov could alter tax rates or even change laws, or set bounties on ppl. of course a bounty in one region doesnt mean a bounty would be set in all regions. this would give families a real thing to fight for because having a family member in the gov could mean that the family gets an unfair advantage, but no worry cause if that happens and the gov is corrupt they wont be there after the next election. terms could last like a month or two weeks real time. if you think this is a good idea feel free to expand on it.
also for bounties if a player kills someone else or does something to deserve a bounty...there should be a law enforcement skill that allows another player to collect that bounty, not just anyone and then if the law enforcement catches the criminal the player gets like a couple hours(real life) in prison.
tell me what you think.
thankyou,

just an idea!
it is a pretty good idea and has been brought up various times for zoric and other worlds and in theory it would work out.
however, theres not much programmed to allow it. but, some stuff could be simulated with workarounds.
like using large towns and calling them regions. having the whole map covered so theres no 'near to' area would be realistic (and will be done on ciroz). this would also allow localised tax settings by the town owner. if mayors could run towns, it'd make more sense. then the mayor would have to keep the town profiting in order to keep his job, this was something considered for Ciroz, but mayor control isen't programmed yet. as for laws...theres nothing that could really be enforced. except general things like cheating/scamming/cursing, and those are more global rules then per city basis.
as for bounties, on worlds with fighting (like current zoric and zion) it's easy to say 'i'll give 250s to whoever blows up sean/kidrock/man'. i remember when i first started on the world apocylipseland, i was a hitman and would kill people for money. but real bounties are programmed in as a global thing.
also, most things are global (like unemployment, etc), not localized. so in order for it to work successfully you'd need to setup seperate worlds that still acted like one economy. which brings up the 3 world economy i was trying to develop, but can't due to game limitations like lack of world linking.
other problem with elections is the population. a group of 20-30 active players can't really make fair elections. other problem is time. not every comes on every day. so might only have 10 people on one day to vote.
the family thing...most families are made with active players, all the members in the family could just constantly revote there guy into the gov to have a constant advantage.
prisons generally don't work out. a player could just log off and play a different game until the time it up. or just goto a different world and have fun. if a player had to be online, they could just sit in small mode while playing a different game or have a 2nd client opened playing another world.

i guess the only other suggestion i have left is that i would like to see farming not have so few building and so little variety. i like how there used to be lvls of food that went up in cost as the quality of the food increases. grain has replaced...barly, hops, grass, wheat, fruit. i would like to see a return of those farms as well as the fert, sheep, pig, sugar. then maybe there would be a way to force players to buy a variety of food like this: instead of just buying food separate, have a next step that puts them into meals so that a meal is much more hunger reducing than just individual items. it would increase the variety in the economy and itd be fun. also cars should have one more step where they cannot be sold by the factory they need to be sold by a true dealer. and then how about having a monthly tax on vehicles to represent insurance and that money can go into a lottery or something. and maybe make learning a skill takes longer that just an hour or so(hopefully the skill levels requirement comes back). there is also one element to the game that is missing...healthcare! why not allow players with a lot of money to build hospitals and have health naturally decline and the only way to increase it is to purchase treatment at the hospital. a water treatment plant. and basically to end it i think the towns need to be more organized to keep residential and retail in town and farming and industry on the outskirts so that the towns look a little more friendly than the massive pile of buildings it is now.
thats my ideas for now,
thankyou for reading
