cant de compress it what do i need i just get the message file skipped unknown compression method

Unless there's been some problem with the file on the server, the instructions on the .isl download page make it perfectly clear:
Unzip the zip file (using Winzip, in case that wasn't obvious)
That should give you a Data folder that contains all of the models and textures - copy that to your Universal root directory
And it should also give you an .isl file containing all the world settings, which you import into your world using the world server's import tools.

/edit: ok, I just tested it: it works fine with Winzip. However, WinRAR can't cope with it for some reason... very strange. But Winzip's free for the trial version, so meh :)
