Textures and converter

Post by Huss »

I have been using wings3d to make my models. once i get them done i export them to .obj and use deepexploration to converit it to .3ds, the model and textures look fine on deep exploration, but once i load the model into the .atm converter and put a texture on it, its all skewed, all the texturing is all mixed up.

ive tried a few things but nothig so far has worked :/
(need help)

might be somthing with the .obj model, have you tried any other model types ?
could also be that your exporting .obj to .3ds try exporting it to .x

That happens to me sometimes with Max and 3ds. You might explore export options to see if there's anything in Wings that might affect the export; or, as Andy says, explore other export formats to see if that helps. I get very different results depending on the export process and associated settings...
