World Owners' Manual(s)

Post by Mit »

The world owner's manual currently exists in 2 places :

http://theuniversal.net/worldmanual

for the web-wiki version, which includes the latest reference and overview information on scripting your world.

and
http://theuniversaldownloads.com/WorldO ... al0630.zip
for the offline chm manual, which has lots more detail about the settings, models and other elements of building your world. *

Obviously, ideally they'd both have the same information in 'em - that'll take some time..

(Note if you're unable to access the .chm file after extracting the zip, you may need to right click the file, select properties then 'unblock' as windows security initially prevents you from accessing .chm files that have been downloaded from the net.)

as a temp thing until i find a proper home for it...Click here

im trying to keep it up to date as we add things to the chm file.. so this is likely to be slightly ahead of the released one at times.

Few more bits filled in (maybe 60% complete), in particular, descriptions on robocrows, money & wages, spawn zones, default inventories..

Can I help with this in any way?

Erratum...

According to your post here - http://theuniversal.net/forum/viewtopic ... hlight=lap - racing mode 3 does the following:

This activates the racecourse permanently, and players receive 1 kudos (in addition to any fixed rewards for lap times you may have set) for every lap they complete.

The kudos bit isn't in the manual.

Btw the manual also describes racing mode 5 ("As 0 + players are teleported to the race start region when they join a race and are automatically set to vehicle specified by the Racing Param.") and this isn't reflected in the *settings menu text, which still says tbd.
