Description:
finaly i got myslef a new stardrive -> lvl 40! now i can discover the deep depths
of the galaxy but wait, theres a bug..

if you jump somwhere using your stardrive and open up your galaxy map after that
your area which should be a ellipse is a circle.. you can select some star system which
are out of reach but you can select them anyway because they are in the circle..
if you try to jump there youll get a notice that you cant bceause you can travel
only 40 parasecs, so its not that of a big deal.
if you close down your galaxy map and open it up again it will be fixed though.

Steps to Replicate:
1. get yourself a lvl40 stardrive
2. do a jump somewhere
3. open up the galaxymap

i tried ro replicate it this way but it doesnt work anymore..
im sorry that i cant tell you how exactly i did it..

initiateing a stardrive with the map open should replicate it.

the select a far away star thing isen't a bug afaik. you can select any star in the galaxy no matter what stardrive you have.

Yeah if u jump with open starmap it gets a bit messed up....the range circle specially and it isnt centraled at ur position....zooming out and in again (F6) fixes it....

doing this once you've jumped also realigns the range circle to the system you're in - doesnt always automatically do this - esp if using one of the wormholes or infimping to ultrakricket or reine blanche. its reasonably accurate most of the time :)

Ultrakricket any good?
How can it be accurate when it doesn't give mesurements?

ultrakricket is a good start point for other traderoutes, if you have a l40

yep- it doesnt give measurements, at least until you click on something, but it gves you an initial impression as to what is within reach, according to your stardive capacity, in a single glance rather than having to click on every system close by to see if it's in range.

like I said - its more or less accurate, but it is only a guide.
