conversion from DXF or COB to 3DS or X?

anybody know of anything that can do it?
preferably while maintaining UV mapping.

um, far as i know (feel free to prove me wrong) .dxf doesnt have texture coordinates.

p.s. if anyones bothered, i could add an .obj loader to the model converter easily enuf. anyone bothered?

p.p.s ive downloaded the truespace 3.2 sdk and specifications for the cob format. I'll have a look at building that into the engine/ model converter sometime in the next coupla weeks.

Yeh, 3d Exploration (I believe the latest version is called Deep Exploration) will handle pretty much anything you throw at it and chuck anything you like out the other side.

yea, deep expo takes nearly everything and stuff that isen't models (like sound etc :P )

if thiers nothing free and small out thier, then ok, i'll use that.

Zar, I know this is way late, however I can convert any DXF or DWG to a 3ds file. I have the latest version of Autocadd. Let me know if you still need the help.
