different items for building

I was wonder is it possible to make it where a house requires wood and a refinary require stone and a fatory require metal to be built. I know how to make it where they require just wood for all, but can it be done so that differebt buildings require different materials.

not exactly.. you can use tech levels and the economy -> building process to make buildings require different stuff (i.e. tech level 0 requires wood, level 1 requires wood & stone, level 2 requires stone & steel etc etc)

Your system sounds like a sensible feature request to me tho, so i've added that in for the next build.

0.1.35 -> Building Process 7
Tech Level 0 buildings require wood
Tech Level 1 buildings require stone
Tech Level 2 buildings require steel
Tech Level 3 buildings require plastics

You can of course rename those items if ya wanna change the requirements.

What do I set it at for just money. If I put 0 material and 0 tech level it says Sysops can only build.

just money to build is building process 1. The value you set for price/materials - in combination with the 'New building Tax' and town construction tax - determines how much the building actually costs to make.

Building Process 1?

I see also that some people have where it takes wood and stone to build. How do you set that?

Building process 0 or 3. Full descriptions of all the building process modes are in the manual.

Everything I goto in manual for buildings is UNDER CONDTRUCTION. Maybe I am missing something..... :?:

ya've got the island0133.chm yeh?
Lot of it is still marked Under Construction, but the "building process" is described there under Economy Settings.

Prolly easiest way to use it is to use the search tab on the top left of the help prog.

Building Process - This controls how buildings are built on your island.

0 - Buildings require materials based on their level (level 0 requires wood, 1 requires wood and stone etc), and a tax that is paid to the treasury and the town if applicable. All buildings (except town plinths and farms) have to be built within town limits.

1 - Buildings don't require materials, just cash. All buildings (except town plinths and farms) have to be built within town limits.

2 - All buildings require 'Wood' to build (irrespective of level). All buildings (except town plinths and farms) have to be built within town limits.

3 - Buildings require materials based on their level (level 0 requires wood, 1 requires wood and stone etc). Buildings can be built anywhere.

4 - Buildings don't require materials, just cash. Buildings can be built anywhere.

5 - All buildings require 'Wood' to build (irrespective of level).Buildings can be built anywhere. The wood required is deducted immediately from the players inventory - if they dont have enough they cant build the building.

6 - As 5 but buildings can only be built in your home town.
