Galaxy Connection refused...Wondering?

I have been running my new world and useing the galaxy client on my desktop for awhile. Since the Galaxy client has come out, I haven't ever tried to use it on my laptop. I always used the A-tractor Client for direct connect to worlds. Today I decided to Load the Galaxy client on my laptop which is on a network hub. Both Desktop and Laptop are useing the same Router (D Link). When I launch the client on laptop I am gettign an error saying " Connection Refused". Hmm odd.......

My network is all wireless even the desktop. So I know that wireless isn't the problem with the laptop. I have reinstalled many times and still get the same thing. So at this point I am in utter confusion on what to try.

Edit: Also I have tried the latest Galaxy Beta patch and I am getting the same error.

Another note, I am able to surf the net without any troubles. All internet stuff works fine. Just can't connect to galaxy. Should be a probly me trying to join the galaxy on a differnt computer with same login info as long as I am not signed in on the same network, Right?

think it has to do with trying to log in on a different computer on the same ip address (as in multiple computers on a network)

after clicking abort, it shows the list with the galaxy on it, right?
try highlighting and clicking attempt connect on it?
usually it fixes it for me whenever i switch computers.

another thing to check is to make sure the password is correct

mm, there might be a problem with using the same username & pass on separate computers atm. sounds like there is anyway :]

Try using a different username & pass on your laptop machine and see if it lets u in then? (If this works, ill need to fix that

)

If none of that works, have you recently upgraded to SP2 or got a firewall? I've seen that kind of stuff to do with firewalling too.

As a a sidenote, do you like that wierd olive style for XP? Personally, I find it ugly

I tried all that and not connecting still. Is there a way to make it where you can sign in if you are not signed in on another computer. I understand if it would let login at the same time on the same ip.

As a a sidenote, do you like that wierd olive style for XP? Personally, I find it ugly .

Its ok, I just wanted a different theme. I was to lazy to find a good one at the moment

I'm also getting this problem. And no, it is not because of multiple computers logged in, because I do not have multiple computers, and noone else logged in to my account ever before either. I even tried deleting the Tractor.cfx so I could attempt to sign up a new account to test it since everything got reset anyways, but it did not work. Yes Andromeda is highlighted, and it is my current galaxy. According to it Andromeda is up also, but it still fails to connect. Yes my internet is working just fine. And yes I have tried re-installing it and re-download re-installing it, but nothing I do fixes it.

The entering part was when I was attempting with the A-Tractor client rather then Galaxy. (When I tried that, I got into Zoric, but the screen turned black and it crashed every time I tried

Kapps, i added some extra debug info to the gal server to help track this down..
Its refusing ya coz theres a character called 'kashika' apparently registered on that computer already. Anyone u know?

Jem, hopefully ill be able to get some similar debug info when u next try to log in.

May be the weekend before i can get to sort this out properly, sorry.
At least 0.1.33 will let u get some places without a galaxy connection...

i had this prob a long time ago.. i think one of you guys deleted my account.. it happend when i reinstalled Universal.. but the real reason im posting is.. i have it again
