first could u just make sure you've got the very latest World.exe from the universal site. (0.1.32 a). (Just so i know we're on the same codebase.)
What setting are you using for Economy -> Building Process?
Could you please send me an .isl export of your world to mit1 [at] gameislands.net and i'll run it thru the debugger? (Just the default settings for the export should be fine).
um, have loaded it up locally - (i can't get on to real worlds from work as im behind a firewall) - the buildings i see in newcastle (bank, schools etc) all look fine to me. Have tried building a tea shop and that was fine too once i'd added the wood and stone to construct it. Is there a particular building i should be looking at or a particular building type i should try to build?
odd thing is that on leigons island, a tech 3 building was busted, but a tech 4 building next to it was fine, then another tech 4 building was busted. and after he destroyed and rebuilt the busted tech 3 and 4, they were fine. and they were built after the upgrade.
have similer trouble on zoric though. have a tech 10 house and theirs some tech 5 vehicle facs that aren't working. tried the destroy and rebuild thing, but it diden't work for them.
on a side note (probably due to the above bug), destroying a higher tech building gives you the material "upgrade required" if its set to give materials back
