Unable to connect to the galaxy...

Makes it kinda hard to play the game when I can't connect to the galaxy... The connection just keeps failing, and the galaxy list can't get any kind of status response from it either. Any ideas?

Patience, that's my biggest suggestion right now. I've noticed that the gal is up and down for me today (it's not *really* down, just can't actually get on it) and often within seconds the status has changed. It's a tad busy right now, and the staff is working hard to make it accessible for people.

What so, I Cant connect @ the moment. Does that mean ill still need to eat even tho I cant connect? That problem kinda sucks. I Bet about like, EVERYONE has died because of not being able to connect for sum reason or another. I only know 4 people who have died, and its because of 'not being able to connect to specific world' three times and 'PC crashed' once. I know no-one whos died normally.

I can't seem to connect to the main galaxy when I log on. Can anyone help me on this?and yes i'm a noob

most island owners close thier worlds when the galaxy is down. or atleast freeze people.
who are these people that have died while not connecting that you keep mentioning? have they tried to get help at all? like asking to be frozen when they coulden't connect? or asking for thier stuff back? i haven't heard anybody mentioning they died for no reason and wanting thier stuff back. so they must not have cared enough about the game in the first place to try, especially if they just decided "oh well, i died, guess i don't like this game"

did you know sabrada has been reverting back to before people died? these 4 were probably brought back to life again. more then once.
did you know that if you die on zoric i'll gladly give you everything back if you ask for it?


people have died normally. probably the 4 you say died due to not conencting died because they starved to death from not having enough food in thier house. most people stock enough stuff in thier house to last several days. this is also why alot of people don't die due to the galaxy being down for a day or two.

per Mattizme's excellent idea, the next version of the servers automatically freezes all health decay if the server loses connection to the galaxy server.

I'll look into more options for making servers accessible when the galaxy is not active in the new year, tho as the gal server should get more stable as testing and fixing continues on it, generally it should become less and less of a problem over time.
And also, from a longer-term point of view, the world servers would become more n more dependent on an active galaxy connection for them to function properly, so i dont intend spending a lot of effort in allowing em to work without it.
Adding more options to allow a backup galaxy is worthwhile tho, and also somethin that will get looked at in the new year.
