galaxy.exe has encountered a problem

Installed the game, and launched it - everything was fine.
Then I alt-tabbed out of it, to discover you're not supposed to do that, as the game window will freeze.

No problem! Right-clicked the window on the toolbar and closed it.
However, after that I tried launching it again. However, I keep receiving a "Galaxy.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the incovenience."

Any idea what's wrong?

Hmm, you should have pressed alt again to unfreeze it.

Erm, does it just keep doing that over and over? or could you get in after that?

firstly i'd suggest redownloading, that often solves the problem, make sure you enter your details correctly again though, don't create another account.

probably just need to restart the computer.
sometimes when the game closes improperly it leaves open processes and will cause it to crash when starting up again.

as for the alt tabbing. if you alt-tab out of full screen, when you come back into it again hit F1 to turn it to proper small mode. then click Enter Island.
