how true
but, why advertise it when thiers only a forum?
thiers 2 theories of visitors that fit with site advertising early on while building it:
1. it lets players know the site is thier, and they will often check it for updates and possibly offer help building it.
2. they see the unbuilt site, see how (possibly) little thier is, wonder why it was being advertised, and (possibly) think its not worth the time going to. Then ignore it for several weeks/months to come back more then a month later to see if its done.
personally, i think seeing a blank site being advertised is a waste. how many times have you been angered by going to sites on google to find they diden't even have what they claim'd to?

If anyone recalls, I had about 200 sites that I advertised that ended up as junk (well .. they were mostly junk from the beginning) but I webmaster as a hobby mostly. And it's hard for an 'artist' to not advertise his 'art.'
So I say Kudos to Kudo ...
Disclaimer: Whirl is hardly an artist. The term 'artist' was used because of lack of a better term.
