I know Mit prefers to have bugs as separate threads but as this is not the place for them and the bug tracker is not working.... Here's a list.
1) ?setchat 1,1 is not the same as ?setchat 1, 1
This command needs to have the space trimmed off of it when looking at parameters.
2) taxation can be beat.
example: 10% tax on 10d is 1d but on 9d its 0 tax
possible resolution: always round the tax up on the decimal or default a minimum of 1d
3) changes to the Galaxy cause removal of all items
This includes basic items and not just purchased items such as impdrive
4) there may be a bug in the freezehealthall command (if that is what it is, I don't remember)
I talked with Junk about this. On Planitia this command was given prior to turning on hunger and thirst. It cause myself and just about all others to die. The only one that seems to have survived was zar. He was Junk's tester for the command it seems.
5) The bug tracker is not working
Feel free to relocate this post or record it how ever.
Seeing as the bug tracker is down
Re: Seeing as the bug tracker is down
I've changed it so heading spaces are removed. No more chat channels those name starts with a space then.Bubba wrote:1) ?setchat 1,1 is not the same as ?setchat 1, 1

4) all i did was tell junk that after useing *freezehealthall, he would need to *showbill somebody to see if it worked. also said that he could use *resetallhealth or *suspendhealthall to only freeze for 2 game years.
if he did either of the later 2, then players would have died after a while.
on the other hand, i know i'm not the only surviver because i often saw others on the island (notrevo, 10dollars, etc). basicly, any players that actually played the island and ran businesses survived and logged in regularly. any others....died. don't take it the wrong way, but i think if a player only has a house, thiers no use worrying about keeping them alive. basicly, the active ones survived. if you died, oh well, shoulda been more active
he did give about 3 weeks notice before turning on hunger and thirst.
thats easily ample time to get food and drink
5) bug tracker works for world owners only currently.
non-world owners can't use it due to sql database conflicts or whatever. magic could easily explain it.

I would log in every day. Although I wasn't big business I did own a mine. I was unaware of the notice for thirst and hunger activation and that's my fault. It just happened to occur on a weekend I went away so I couldn't log in.zaroba wrote: basicly, any players that actually played the island and ran businesses survived and logged in regularly. any others....died. don't take it the wrong way, but i think if a player only has a house, thiers no use worrying about keeping them alive. basicly, the active ones survived. if you died, oh well, shoulda been more active

I do remember that I had about 2600s and was in 3rd place for top wealth. My goal being to try and catch zar at #1 with 3300 at the time (still no where near his net worth). When I came back on Sunday night, only zar had more than 2600 (5200 infact).
I died and died big . That was my fault. I even turned down a reset so I could try for a bigger come back. The point in reporting this as a bug is that it looked like it killed off a major amount of people. There were only 11 alive after that fateful weekend and although I never checked before, I would assume Planitia had more than 11.
