Doing things from the Server Panel........

I was wondering if there is a future plan to make the panel work more freely for owners. It would be nice if you could do things from the Cpanel and not have to join all the time.

Couple things I would like:

1) Window to view activity on the island
2) Be able to do commands from panel
3) Be able to send a private message
4) ability to kick people
5) A box to click if you want your name to show on players list so people can talk even though you aren't in game ( for PM and other things )

oh and some manual instructions on things you are able to do with Server Panel.

Just some thoughts that popped into my head.

Simple answer is yes.. theres definitely future plans for most of that stuff

Cant promise when.
The graphical view of the island and the ability to do commands are things i'd like to look at soonish..

Hadn't really thought of making you appear on the player list necessarily, tho that may get covered by other stuff (like being able to priv msg a named player - subspace has a method for chatting using :<NAME>: so i'll probably implement something similar.

Hedge & Magic have plans to do a lotta new manual stuff for us i believe :]

righto - 0.1.34a world server now on the downloads page should let you do most *commands thru the server panel. Certain commands (like *attach for instance) obviously won't be applicable - and i wouldnt recommend trying em. (It'll probably end up causing server crashes and/or 'odd' data corruption if you do). Most of the ones you'll want tho (such as *kick, *gag, *send ) should work fine.

If theres any like that that you try that don't work, please let me know and i'll try to fix each case in turn.
p.s. Zar will be pleased when he reads this, as he requested this about um, 2 years ago or somethin? :]

I have done a fresh install and it has seemed to have fixed the error. I very much like being able to use commands from CP. Thanks Mit. When is the window coming?
