folks trading start cash for Gal credits

its happening on Planitia so i know its happening on other planets as well and its not noobs, its well know longtime players, im considering banning for doing this

kindof expected really.. implicit in the nature of the relationship of galactic economy and worlds. Its somewhat intentional too, so that worlds are encouraged to move away from systems using a high start cash (which afterall is very unsound economically).
And if a player wishes to do this thats fair enough really? Its their loss in the end.

I can change your exchange rate if you think it needs to be higher to stop ppl gaining from it so much, (catch me in game and jus let me know what u think it should be) and you can destroy your starport for now if you don't want people exchanging.

they never did it on zoric :P

i had the starport surrounded by tiles that were impassible to ground vehicles.
planes cost more then the starting money so a player would have to work up and buy a plane to get to the starport.

um, actually.. my reply there was based on the assumption that the exchange rate was set to a reasonable value in the first place. 200s = 1 cr, with a 5cr max, on a world with > 1000s startcash doesnt make much sense for sure :]

(its 800s = 1cr with a 7.5 max now)
