Death on Gyruss

Post by Bunford5 »

I've just been to Gyruss to find that hunger and thirst have been activated and i have 3 hrs (realtime) to live with Dublin not producing or selling food or drink. So, looks like we're all dead then. Anyway, what heppens when i die, do i just start again with my home and business lost?...
Miles - Dublin, Gyruss

Edit: Just noticed the farm is making milk so i'm not thirsty but my hunger bar is still up and there's nowhere to buy food in Dublin so death it is. nvm

That's what sucks about that type of team play - if somebody phony up, everybody phony up.

That'd be the case if it relied on each and every person to do their job, yeh.. but its not really that harsh on Gyruss. The lesson is more 'if everyone phony up, they're all stoopid :]'

i don't really get how this is any different from hoppin' on some CTF quake server and having it be a lame afternoon cause none of your teammates are backing you up and everyone's just going for the flag.

it's an mmorpg -- if you don't want to have other players be part of the equasion just build yourself a singleplayer world :)

relying on other to accompolish a preset goal is far different from relying on them for the game to be playable or stay alive.

If ya die on Gyruss come to Planitia we will feed ya until playermade cheap food is available

Mit, i don't really think you know how Gyruss works.
Each team starts with a limited number of resources, with that they must build things to produce more resources.
So, if a player would just buy all wood, and the tree farm and saw mill both still need wood, nobody could build anything requiring wood anymore.
