Buildings Questions And Help

Hi,
I am having massive problems with buildings in the buildings editor:
1. How can I get the buildings so that ANYONE can build them, because atm, it sayes sysop only.? And how can I get it so sysop only can build?

2. I want to set the wage to pay monthly, it sayes every 10 minutes, I want it monthly..

Other:
1. Can anyone host my world?
2. Could I borrow some building models including the .atms?
4. How can I turn on weapons? And how do I get it to work etc..

I LOOKED IN THE GUIDE FOR ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS BUT NO HELP FOUND.

1. If its saying 'Sysop Only' in the building list in game, its because the "Price" / "Materials" of the building (that you set in the bdat editor) is set to 0. Set it to a + number and anyone should have access.

2. um, i dont know of any setting yet for paying wages every 10 minutes :)
I presume either you've got the wages being paid per game-day ( This is controlled with the *settings -> Economy -> Economy Rate - Set it to 0 to have wages paid monthly (1 means it is paid daily) ) or you're lookin at the bit that tells you how frequently items are produced. (This is controlled with *settings -> Economy -> Global Production Rate - Set to 0 and the building produces items every gameday, any other value is a realtime interval).

1 - Yes, anyone can host your world, but it requires a lil setting up. Please read the thread Jem raised regarding "hosting two worlds on one computer"

Its very easy to borrow models :) Just look in the Data\Models\Bldgs folder inside your client directory - any models you've downloaded on other worlds will be there for you to use. Just copy em in to your server's Data\Models\Bldgs folder. Alternatively, the Model Library link on the downloads page currently has over 20 of fooli and hedge's building models to download.

4. (What happened to 3? :] ) The global setting for turnin on weapons is *settings -> World Rules -> Wars. Setting it to 1 will allow weapons by default (check the manual for other options). You need to have vehicles set with weapons (i.e. set the Vehicles -> Primary Weapon and/or Secondary Weapon to somethin other than 0). The number you use for the vehicle weapon corresponds to the weapons in your server's 'Weapons Script File' (Data\Weapons.mts). You edit this file with notepad (or equivalent text editor) to specify the exact behaviour of the weapon. There is an example Weapons.mts file available on the downloads page (Island Templates section) - and the manual does have fairly comprehensive documentation on the various properties you can add to the weapons script.

Hence the continual disclaimers about the lack of proper support :) The documentation and startup guides for new world owners is high on our priorities list atm. Most of the information is around somewhere, just sometimes takes a bit of digging :].

(Which reminds me - really must get round to building a 'Rome' world in about 23 hours sometime.. :] )
