I ran out of food and I was heading to my house when the server crashed. I only had like an hour real time left to live, so I'm probably dead by now. I can't access the servers to get to my house or buy more food. Is there anything that can be done about this?

I was playing on Zoric this morning for me and I had a 3000 ping so keep trying I'm sure you'll get back in

if the server crashed, you should be alright. since it would have frozen you for 2 game years. thats IF the server crashed and diden't just kick you from lag.
chances are good that it crashed though, since i had to reboot the comp due to system errors when i got up this morning.

Is it just me or are the servers down? When I try to load A-Tractor, all the servers except Reine Blanche won't show up (like the ping and the # of players just says "Checking..." and it's never come up since. I'm worried that my character has died from starvation by this time. Please help!

Tried that, it still didn't work. It just went back to "Checking", then tried to find the game worlds from the chat server for about an hour.

I have a similar problem to Hacksheep's. I was on my way to fill my tractor (carrying only 1 steak and 1 cola for emergencies, but my house is well stocked) when the game crashed. When i try to go back it just says 'Requesting location of World Zoric from server' or something and i cant get back in. If the server crashed does my health/hunger/thirst freeze automatically for 2 game years? I'm worried that i'll starve to death before the server is back on, or at least loose some health. btw, Even if it did crash, this is a great game. Nice work.

However sorry for you I am, I'm glad to hear i'm not just going crazy. If our characters do die before the servers get back up, is there anything one of the God Powers can do to reverse the effects of the hunger and stuff, or at least get us back our items?

P.S. - Are Biosuits and Needsuits only for the Galaxy version of A-Tractor?

no clue why, but suddenly alot of people are havig trouble connecting to zoric. might have to do with 1.32 stuff. only other thing that happened was my accidently unplugging the cable modem a few hours ago and my isp sneaking in an ip change.

have frozen you on zoric hacksheep.

If after upgrading to 0.1.32 (and after having got to the right star system with Zoric in it) you still have problems connecting, deleting Data\Gateways.lst from your client folder might help.

This aint specifically a problem with 0.1.32, its actually a bug that was in previous versions of the server (Hence why i asked you to upgrade your world asap, zar).
Prior to 0.1.32, server addresses were being dispatched incorrectly from other servers connected to the galaxy - these incorrect addresses were getting stored in the gateways.lst file.
With the new client and server this won't be a problem - and this repeated need for deleting the gateways.lst will go away. Just might need to do it once more to clear out any crap from the previous versions.

So is '1.32' another noame for the Galaxy client? I'm just seeing 1.30 at the top, a patch to upgrade to 1.30 and the Galaxy client at the bottom...

0.1.32 is galaxy only at the moment.. There probably will be an updated version of 'A Tractor' at some point (All 'A tractor' really is is the quickplay list from the Galaxy client without any of the space stuff) - but it won't have any of the worlds you're used to on it.

If refreshing the page doesnt work, it sounds like either your browser or your ISP has cached the page and its not updatin right - Its definitely there! :] - Other ppl have downloaded from it ok.

If you're using IE, try Tools -> Internet Options and in the section marked 'Temporary Internet Files' select the Delete Files button.

My name on zoric is MilesDavis. Can you freeze me plz? If i've lost any health (it was full) i'll be needing some sort of reset. I still can't see anything called '1.32' on the downloads page. Should i uninstall everything and then install the 'Galaxy Client' ?

i believe zar has frozen everyones health for the time being while everyone is gettin sorted out with the new vers.
Ya shouldnt need to uninstall - just use that link to download the latest version and install it to the same place you previously installed A Tractor to. (Program Files\Universal by default).

I uninstalled everything, then installed A tractor 1.30. Then i installed Galaxy 1.30 to the same folder, THEN i downloaded and installed galaxy 1.32 to the same folder. Now, it thinks i'm playing for the first time and asks for my nickname/username/password again. Should i enter the same info as before and continue, or have i ruined the whole thing?
