town plinths

i know schools, being "special" buildings can't sell products -- even though you can set them to sell, they won't once you get 'em in game as far as i've seen.

what about town plinths though? does anyone know if they can sell products, so that if i made ten different town plinth buildings they could each sell different products?

er, apparently i'm too lazy to just test it out

i think mit had plinths set to sell wood back in 2002/2003 on Aramathea.
but i don't know about doing it now. think the type changes the menu too much now.
i know banks can't sell items
