Sideways

Post by 252-rer »

hi i just ended up at a 45 degree angle on top of a building after i think i fell from another part of it. this was not good to have happen as i had to struggle to get forward the little ways to fall off. after that i was back to normal.
just a bug report:P
also its annoying that you can fall on wall where then your stuck on and apon relog stuck in the wall.

Yeah, I got stuck on top of a zion wall after coming off the roof of a near by hanger. I loged off and on twice then hitched on to somone for a sec then unhitched and that seemed to move me the little bit off the wall I needed to get away.

umm.. "The collision system used is an island setting" :]
It doesnt matter which version you're using, it just matters which collision setting the island is using :)

oops, trac .28 i mean, not .29

its not that its not added to or activated in an older client compaired to a newer one, its just that the newer island has settings which weren't programmed into an older client, because, well, they diden't exist when the client was made.

hence the reason for often getting a "settings file larger then expected" error when joining an island with a newer version then your client. the island has new settings that the client doesen't recognise.

extra settings in the islands cause kinda a ripple effect on old clients. the new values are seen by the old client, but not the settings they represent, so on an old client, they get stuck where they would have been if the new setting wasen't thier.
