Hi,
I joined yearssss ago, 2003. Played A-tractor when it was still on the go. I missed the Bonus Sunday email so downloaded the game today and started playing again.
Are there recent help guides? I tried the universalwiki but it seems to be blank. I started playing on Zion.
The currency brings back memories. Do you need food currently on zion to survive?
Ta.
Some pointers?
Can't think of any recent help guides...but I'll try my best to help.
Right now, the two main towns are Wesboro and Babylon, it'll make your life easier if you chose one of the two.
Zion is 100d (denali) = 1s (sheckle), like cents and dollars.
You do not need food on Zion to survive. You have to return in 12 days and 16 hours in order to keep your buildings and jobs. Each time you return the counter resets.
To start, you could learn a skill at a school to get a job. F7 -> Stats & Graphs -> Jobs Available will give you an idea of whats in demand in the world. Of course, you might want to check if they have enough to pay you daily!
Alongside that, you can export things to the port. F5 brings up the map. South Port is widely used and I believe its the same rate as North Port. These rates should still apply. Keep in mind that you only have 100 exports, so use them wisely. There may be some bonus exports in the future but I'm not sure.
Buy low, sell high from other buildings is also another way to make some easy money.
Later on once you get some money, you can build some of your own buildings with some new skills. Always good to inquire about whats needed in your town.
As of now, you have a max amount of 4 buildings, 2 jobs and 3 skills. (got this from the command *economy )
You can right click anywhere to auto-walk. Holding down the right-mouse button also lets you pan the camera. Auto-walk is a bit funky but it works.
Page up / Page down lets you select a player. You can send a private message to them by putting a slash before a message. So, highlight a player then...
/put private message here
You can also spectate the highlighted player by pressing F4. F4 also exits spectator mode.
Can't think of anything else, feel free to ask for more help.
