Did some testing with Oculus rift and TU. Used a free program called Vireio Perception to basically hijack the directx graphics and change the game to side-by-side 3d.
Quite a bit of issues given that there's no game editing done. Mit could probably improve it a bit though. It's only showing the top-left quarter of the screen, and the GUI still thinks it's on a single screen so clicking is off.
Cross your eyes to see some 3d half-screens.
I haven't tried tweaking anything else yet.
The Universal in *REAL* 3d
well, a somewhat easy fix for the graphics. Set Vireio to use simple side by side instead of being defined for the Oculus. Mouse clicking is still off, and I need to run it in windowed mode and manually size it to look good on the oculus, but it does work.
Also enabled Oculus head tracking, which links the Oculus motion sensors to the mouse movement. Turn on mouselock in-game and I can look around via turning my head

for the record (and for whatever novelty value - or not - that it holds), full, native OR support (with headtracking) will be done by the end of the year. (Though it'll probably be an opt-in thing for planets as it doesnt fit naturally with many of the world options).
