A new world to play on :)

Post by zaroba »

Hoping to get zoric playable next week. Not complete, but playable. Any members that want to will be allowed to join, although it is limited to 6 online at a time (not counting myself or mit)

So it will work like this:
Since there is nothing in place to do it automatically yet, I will be on Aramathea and anybody that wants to come in Zoric will have to ask me there. If there is space, I will let you in, otherwise you'll have to wait for a spot to open up when somebody logs off.

Anytime a spot opens up, I will announce it on Aramathea and it will be first come first serve, going to whoever is there at the time to say they want to come in. I wont hold spots for anybody. If you are AFK when a spot opens up, then somebody else might get it even if you were waiting all day.

If you have access to zoric when I log off for the night or go afk, you'll have the luck of being able to keep access for the night as I wont be there to change who can come in. Any available slots when I log off will go to people of my choosing, which generally will be people I think are most active on the world.

If people are waiting to get in, then anybody that seems to be AFK will get kicked. Space is limited so you must be actively playing to remain on.

If you log off zoric without notice you wont immediately lose your spot. So relogging, rebooting, etc is ok. I will wait a bit to make sure your not coming back before giving up your spot. Probably 5-10 mins. This does not apply if you provide notice of leaving, like saying goodbye or whatever.

If nobody is waiting to get on then none of the above rules apply.

This Zoric is entirely script based. If you find a bug in the script, please let me know immediately. The world is mostly running to test stuff so if issues don't get reported it defeats the purpose of running it.

At this time the ability to join Zoric is only available to paying members (as low as US$2 a month). It is currently not possible to let somebody join who is not a member, it is how Mit programmed the game. There is nothing I can do about this so please do not bug me to get in if you are not a member.

Please note that while I do hope to get zoric playable by the end of this week, it all depends on how my hand feels.

Had carpel Tunnel surgery on my right hand on the 16th. A day of non-stop typing and mouse using results in soreness and stiffness the next day and the need to rest it with minimal use on the keyboard/mouse.
