i think it has happened for quite a while that when somebody starts building something, it's foundation wont appear in the right place to other people. I have often seen gold mine foundations in town for example.
I think this might also have to do with being online when the building is started.
Lots of times I will leave my client connected and in small when I go to bed or go to work
I have noticed two common oddities as a result: 1: Ghost Buildings - Players died and the buildings were removed, or they destroyed them, but the collision model would remain on my client and I would run into it. Relogging would remove the collision layer, or it would make a building appear where I had seen none. 2: Overlapping Buildings - A foundation might appear underneath a completed building, after a relog the completed building is gone and only the foundation remains. Or instead of a foundation, 2 completed buildings on the same spot and the older one would vanish after a relog.
this has been fixed on server. It was A Very Stupid Bug. unfortunately lots of buildings that were added have been misplaced.. i can script something brutal that deletes them, but we'll try to recover the lost ones as much as we can (given that being brutal probably isn't worth when the end of civilization is nigh).
Many buildings have already been recovered and placed in north avalon. If you have one left over, lemme know its name and i'll get it moved tomorrow.
