Question about chap 3 ending

There'll be lots of History Points on offer for the top 10 Gold and 'top 10 oldest ever age' at the end of the chapter, plus some bonuses for those with the most wisdom etc. Gold you've earnt in chapter 3 will be useful in the forthcoming chapters.

Are both these things dependent on *total* gold earned while playing?
Or just the gold you have when the chapter ends?

you'll be carrying forward the gold (and other items) you're carrying into the next chapters. History points will be based on the top 10 lists as shown on F6.
