it's prolly a wait-and-see kinda thing. the sad part is i think i've thought about this very topic more than anyone who can't actually fix it himself should
the thing i'm torn on: is it better to have total, uncompromising consistency, or to have a lil safeguard? the one nice thing about [del] is that since it's a different key, it prevents people from "accidently" buying something they don't want.
one scenario i could see, since value control often saves the previously used amount, is that we'll have a lotta people accidently buying 50 of something instead of one. or 50 of the wrong thing. or 1 of the wrong thing.
whether that's only a problem for vets, or shows up as a noob thing as well is uncertain.
if it is screwing up everyone indiscriminately six months from now, i'd maybe suggest reverting to delete, but making it more consistent - a confirm screen for skills that uses [del], etc. what the etc is i'm not sure atm. but we got six months if ever to think about it
