You uploaded the new game version, but not the patch! So they aren't autoupdating.

People are running around with the old version, shooting missiles in cirrus minor and seeing invisible ships (aka new ships).

And who knows what else!

even if the patch was updated, if they have auto-update turned off, they wouldn't auto-update.

The patch was updated but im not sure it is functioning properly (particularly on new versions of windows). I will look into this further.
Anyway, its a separate step to update the gal server to only accept connections from the latest client - I'll be doing later in the week, once im sure 0.55.0 doesn't cause any significant problems.

Problem turned out to be that i'd foolishly included the autoupdater.exe itself in the patch, which caused the updater to bale silently. This'll be fixed in the next update.
