Name: Error: "LoadUID fail -2" upon starting Tractor 0.1.23
Date/Time: ~10pm EST (GMT -5)
Bug Short Description: A friend attempted to run version 0.1.23, however the first thing to pop-up was "LoadUID fail -2." Server select screen appeared, but no pings came back.
Steps To Recreate: 1) Install. 2) Run Tractor
Attachments/Notes: I'm fairly sure the new user screen did not come up for him. My best guess is something isn't letting tractor place the unique id on his system (OS: WinXP Home).
ALL: LoadUID fail -2 (Fixed in next client)
hmm...i think with old traccie and win xp, you had to right click the link, hit properties, and in the compatibility selection, choose win 98 or soemthing like that.
also should check drivers. and i mean actually check them.
unless you goto the manafactures website, look at the latest versions, and compair it to the versions your hardware is useing, you don't actually know if thier upto date.
just because you may have updated a week or two ago doesen't mean there coulden't be newer drivers out.

OS doesnt' really matter, unless it's win 95 and lower.. I mean, I use win 98, it's fine here. I'd so rather get ME or linux than ever use that xp pos (many reasons i dislike it, don't ask why). Much safer using anything but xp (and if you don't know why, i'm not going to bother explaining).
The problem is usually because your os isn't updated, or drivers aren't updated, etc. And (this SHOULD be common sense but..) you should not have any programs that uses a decent amount of cpu usage running at the same time. But, I kinda ignore that because.. well.. my pos computer can handle it for some reason
i so hate nvidia and their geforces..
