A complaint

Post by argirios »

I was in Zion today and i saw so much people trying to "steal" from other players with tricks like "buy * with 1d" but in reality their product costs more. They are trying to make fast money by tricking people. I don't know what you other people think about this but i don't like it.

so much people? i'm on zion now and the only building i see doing that is goomba's lumberyard selling for 2d.

complain to the owner of the building.
he might have just forgotten to change the price in the building.

the ones to really watch out for are when new players come in and sell stuff for 10x normal price or so because they 'don't want others to buy it but set it high in case somebody wants it anyway'.

Look again... blaze's ore sells for 1s. blaze isn't a newbie, he's nicron, so he knows better. nobody buy from him until he changes his price back. I also demanded ALL of my money back. Just be careful when you're buying ore, somebody always has to use the S and D confusion trick.

My wood is 1s because it is magic wood, filled with eldritch teachings and powers of ancient beings best left forgotten.

That's really annoying deathshand, you know that the people who will buy this wood will buy it from mistake, and don't tell me that you don't know that. The most of the players who will fall for it will probably be new, with not much money, and that will make them stop playing the game or the planet. How would it be if you had 400 s after a week or so and spent them by mistake to buy 300 wood??? :x

Reminds me of my brother on zoric, there was cheap but good looking mansions which only cost him around 50s to make and he would sell them off to new players for 500s-1000s. This would drain all there starter money so they couldn't get anywhere on the world and would eventually need a reset.

For the veteran players you should be trying to play an economy world as its meant to be played not ripping people off, theres no sense of achievement and anyone can get a good business going as long as they spend enough time in doing so.

If i saw a new player trying to get started up on the world i would help them out, you would make much more money from it in the long run as you can supply products for them and they will have their own income from businesses so they can afford to buy much more over time. Its not rocket science really.

Well, I would like to point out that anybody who does this on purpose on zion will not be allowed to play my planet when I get it online. So really, they're just robbing themselves of a completely new gameplay experience. Oh well, sorry to tell you guys this. But you lose. Change your prices and maybe you'll earn the right to play again.

Nah, the last time I checked in I thought there were other places selling it, and I was using it anyway. If it's really wanted that bad I'll fix the price

if you want to use it for yourself, then why not just turn off the selling?
otherwise, as far as i'm concerned, your acting like nothing but a scammer, blaze as well if he's still selling ore for 1s per.

Ah, such an old trick. Wonder when it was when I first complained about it? Two years ago? Probably longer...

An easy code fix for this would be to display '1s0d' instead of just '1s' at shops when the world has multiple denari per sheckle. But, well, code fixes in The Universal...
