Can you try using the 'options.exe' (should be in your clients folder) and switch from windowed to fullscreen (or vice versa) and see if that changes anything. Let me know if not.
There have been some changes to the graphics initialisation which i thought should be compatable across all cards, but perhaps not.. If neither option works, i'll revert the changes and provide a build that makes them optional.

try clicking 'ignore' on the error?

if its possible to get into small mode before the error, could also try switching between Basic Directx and Advanced DirectX in the video card options.

iv done all that... still the same.. Seems to be with ATI... on my older computer i have an nvidia 6200 256MB AGP graphics card and TU works fine on it. could have been a typo on the graphics part of the code somewhere..

i patch back to 0.54.0 and it did the same.. uninstalled it and did a clean install and now i get

"This application has failed to start because NxCooking.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

can you make anything of that?

found the dll error..
the 0.54.4 full install file is missing dll files. you have to get them from the patch zip file

now that i did some research on nxcooking.dll and some stuff... i think the bug is that TU has become none compatible with ATI drivers since the new TU version is using physx nvidia drivers.

i could be wrong... but thats what i came up with so far

Hey I found the problem. Its the Interface.dll that comes with the 0.54.4 version thats bugged. I replaced it with the 0.54.0 Interface.dll and it runs perfectly on the 0.54.4 client.

It works fine for me... I assume from the above that we're having issues with ATI gfx?

A few older versions are on the download server still, Ftard. Just edit the number so it says 0540 or somethin. Interface.dll will be in the zip - just overwrite your existing one, if you really wanna (it lives in the game's root folder). Not sure it's a great fix or even a great idea, but if you wanna, that's how.
