Software:Unregistered Server
Version Number:54.4
________________________________________________________________________
Location
Planet Vert. Island.exe
________________________________________________________________________
Description:
When going to the texture selector and selecting textures, both bmp and jpg, but it seems jpg cause most of this problem, once selecting a texture the world crashes completely, completely wiping the NamesFile.text And so loosing the designation of models, item names, and textures. This happens in no particular order, it is completely random, but it happens EXTREMELY often.
________________________________________________________________________
Steps to Replicate:
1. Go to the world editor island.exe
2. Go to the texture selection tool.
3. Start selecting textures for anything, land textures, sky textures. Range between bmp and jpg.
4. Crash and NamesFile.txt wipe.
Critical Bug- World crash and reset.

i had a graphical error in the client last night using the world editor... i did notice that int he preview boxes the models are messed up, triangles shot off to the top right i believe from the box, in a converging pattern.
noething like what youve described, and last night was the first, and have been using editor exclusively recently.

out of curiosity, are you setting the textures via the in-game editor, the server console, or by manually editing the file?
if your setting them via the ingame editor, they might be getting erased due to it crashing before the changes are saved.
changing them via the server console itself updates the file immediatly.
if your editing the file by hand and forget to do a *reloadnames after saving it, then the changes will get erased if you do anything on the world that will cause it to be changed by the server.
