f1 -> file -> change nickname

doesn't change the name used on chat channels since that goes by username.

Doesn't that only work for planets now? Because people were using it to their own advantage

hence the eminem impersonating others topic

Nope. I don't know how Eminem did it. But it wasn't this way because it is imposible. Mit removed this capability quite some time ago.

no clue how he did the player list change. its possible that eminem was invisible, fatboy happened to be in the system at the time, and his in game name isn't exactly 'fatboy01' just like how stim's name isn't 'stimutacs' its 'stimutacs_nr'

it works in starsystem chat though.
just tested it. changed my nickname to 'test' relogged, and chatted with the name 'test'

Nah zar, in the starsystem chat it appears like that but i found out that it actually shows your original name. At least everyone called me Smurfy even after i changed it to Accura.

Ok I'll tell you how to change your space name:

1. Remove completely the TU folder, leave no trace. Find it, right click it, delete, go to recycle bin, and delete. Then download the TU client and reinstall.

2. Now that you have deleted the TU folder, and reinstalled. Open TU, now the form should appear, which you filll when you're a new player. Ok now ALL THE INFO YOU PUT THE MUST BE THE SAME AS YOU FILLED IT THE FIRST TIME, EXCEPT NICKNAME. Put in your same Username and password as the first time you filled this form, it will ask you for a nickname, that's where you put something different. But the Username and password stays the same. If you don't remember your password, or Username, I advice you not to do it.

If you do it correctly, you should now come in with a different name in space, if you do it wrong...gosh...you'd have just created a new character.

trust me, that was not fatboy, fatboy doesn't start speaking portuguese out of the blue. And if Eminem was invisible, I woulndt see his text in the chat anyway.
