lets face it. microsoft loves making windows easier to use for everybody. including those with disabilities. now, theres nothing wrong with that. but the problem is that a vast majority of uses (i'm assuming anyway) don't need these things. things like Sticky Keys and Filter Keys.

if you don't know how to disable them and want to, then keep reading:

top half is vista, second half will be XP

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VISTA:
First Step:
Goto Control Panel (start menu -> control panel)
(if using regular view)
Click Appearence and Personalization
Click Ease of Access Center
Click Make the Keyboard Easier To Use
-or-
(if using Classic View)
Click Ease of Access Center
Click Make the Keyboard Easier To Use

Second Step:
UNCHECK Turn on Mouse Keys if it is checked
UNCHECK Turn on Sticky Keys if it is checked
UNCHECK Turn on Toggle Keys if it is checked
UNCHECK Turn on Toggle Keys by holding down the NUM LOCK key for 5 seconds
UNCHECK Turn on Filter Keys if it is checked

there's more to it then that, keep reading

Third Step:
Click Setup Mousekeys
UNCHECK Turn on Mouse Keys if it is checked
UNCHECK Turn on Mouse Keys with left ALT + left SHIFT + NUM LOCK
Click SAVE at the bottom

Click Set up Sticky Keys
UNCHECK Turn on Sticky Keys if it is checked
UNCHECK Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed 5 times
Click SAVE at the bottom

Click Set up Filter Keys
UNCHECK Turn on Filter Keys if it is checked
UNCHECK Turn on Filter Keys when right SHIFT is pressed for 8 seconds
Click SAVE at the bottom

Click SAVE at the bottom again

close the control panel
sticky keys, mouse keys, toggle keys, and filter keys are now completely disabled

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
