I thought I'd return......but......I've found another game to play (I've been searching for a week now). Which is not first of all full of idiots (not saying the whole community) who either are all day in their basement with no sunshine whatsoever, or either they are all a bunch of emo kids, or EITHER their life is a total failure and they pick it off in people in game.
A few things are against the WELL BEING of the game:
1. The game's community is turning, slowly, into a community of idiots. On MMO forums I see countless numbers of people saying that they left " Somegame" because of the unfriendly community. And these games usually don't end well. That's important. While the good guys leave, and the assholes stay, I don't even want to imagine TU's community in 2009, if there is one.
2. The game's halted development equals:
* No improvement of gameplay (such as a way to get the newbs some info when they start. They cant even find planets anymore, because all of the ones at cirrus are offline.)
* No fixing bugs. Bugs are eating the game's gameplay by the bone.
* Departure of players when they get bored (aint leaving coz I did).
3. With an not user friendly world server (networking side, such as with routers and ports), less worlds are being held online. I could not bring a world online due to this reason. Last time I checked, only 3 worlds online, none at the cirrus minor system for newbs to land on......so if newbs get stuck in space, and cant find worlds....well...
AND NO, the playerbase itself cannot MAINTAIN a game by themselves, you're seeing proof of this everyday. I've been giving newbs help, and money for a head start, since I returned.....yet....it's not enough. People are maintaning worlds (most can't) how they can.....yet....it's not enough.
People might say, "DUDE IT's SUMMER OMG, TIS IS NORMAL". But the truth is....the game will never go pass the hole of "13 players online". I see an empty space, and afk worlds, in the future, just as they are now.
While in 06 we had fightnights and all, the biggest event right now is 420. The great afk event. Which people are already getting bored off. I mentioned this on another post.
People miight now flame me because I'm saying all this, but hey face it, it's the facts. Fooli you might say posts like these are no help, then I ask you, when you can't host worlds ( I repeat, many can't), and you try but fail to get players to stay and to come... just what can you do? Stay to fill up the last drop of player count? With a hateful and disrespectful community behind your back? Naw........ these posts might not help, but whatever we do ingame don't help either.
Oh and people might also say "good riddance". Well you know what? I support them on that. Because when I uninstalled this game, I also said "good riddance".
Flame me all you want, I aint gonna see it. Truth is, your flame isn't going to change anything, you will flame because seeing the truth, the facts, which are bad, enfuries you..
There are thousands of threads like this? LOL! And you complain about it? Shame on you.... PROOF is what they can offer, of the game's state. Helpless players don't want their favourite game to die, they express it, and what they get is a bowl of rubbish. What a friendly community.
More players are leaving while less stay or arrive. At this rate, I don't really know if this game will exist by 2009. I never wanted it to die, I don't want it to die, but I'm seeing it die before my eyes, and I can't do anything about it. So I have to express myself.
Yeah I know what else you can say, "DA GAME HAS ALREADY BEEN LIKE THIS", but.... : DA GAME WILL ALWAYS BE STUCK WITH 1 TO 15 PLAYERS ONLINE. And that's if the community doesn't collapse on it's own hate and disrespect.
Time zones? Another proof of the game's fall. One of the UA members, Tirion, can mostly only play at day on his timezone. When he was once on he told me: You are the only guy I've seen all day here". Striking....atleast for me. BLACKHAT had a similar experience..... It's a disadvantage to the players on the othet timezone, why should it be? Because the game's playerbase is small? I guessed so.....

even if players *could* land on planets, the fact alone that it requires several relogs to get everything to download and show correctly probably puts off many since all they will see is an empty world. its even worse since by default worlds use the 'new file transfer system' which is far worse when it comes to requiring relogs.
i really hate to bring up a dead issue, but the player base seems to have been all but gone of knowledgeable and mature players ever since last summer when deca was purposely driving them away with his constant arrogance, insults, advertising other games, and his just general a-hole attitude. guess he succeeded

ark3k can dish it out but he cant take the heat. heh, quitters never prosper. the guy was alright until he kept blowing steam everywhere he went. there was not one moment where his mouth was shut for more than 2 min. he would insult you in space for attacking him and when you fired back with something he'd ball up and cry about it.
i play for what it is, but i never take it personal and as serious as he did. nothing what we have here should ever be taken serious enough to where you feel the need to insult everyone about it.

Maybe a sticky topic for "Game Rants" would be appropriate just so all of these reiterations of complaints are easier to ignore. I think everyone is aware that the game is experiencing an extended quiet time. No need to repeat and complain about that fact a countless number of times.

I dont think theres any need for flames, hes just speaking his mind, where as i agree with the TU not being so popular, i cant agree with the community being assholes, i mean sure, you get some people acting like complete morons from time to time, *cough* stim 
(he can be cool at times), but you also get aload of good guys who you can talk to about anything and hell sometimes even help out with problems. I admit it would be a shame to see this game die as alot of effort has been put into and it is just generally a good game when its active,but theres no denying its hanging on its last thread which is fooli (who im sure we all appreciate alot).
