The Black Guard is a small faction mostly comprised of experienced players in combat and trading. Our main gaming time is around space and we keep ourselves a close-knit community. Although the Black Guard is mostly made of experienced pirates, it's main aim is neither this nor destroying anything that moves. Instead, member's have assigned ranks which place an organised ladder of communication.
Ranks
The ranks of the Black Guard are copied from real world armed forces, providing some similarities.
Below is the ranking structure;
- Grand Admiral - There are three positions, although most will not be filled. Grand Admiral's have the most powers and more strategic role.
Admiral - There are five set positions for Admirals in the Black Guard, although some of these will possibly be unfilled most of the time. Admirals are tasked with the duty of upholding order and assigning tasks to member's assigned to them.
Commodore - Commodore's are made up of members who have proven themselves and have leadership qualities which will let them carry out assignment's set by their superiors.
Captain - The Captain is not necessarily a warrior, instead, it shows that the member is equiped with the ship and experience of becoming one. The member themselves must decide if they want to take a more action or peaceful role.
Traders - Trader's are not necessarily less powerful than Captains, instead, these are member's who choose to spend most of their time trading and will probably have a ship which justifies this trait. They are granted full protection from Black Guard members but must be dedicated and willing to help if possible.
